Two more warships built at the Khulna shipyard are scheduled to be commissioned next month. President Md Abdul Hamid will attend the commissioning ceremony as the chief guest on November 8 at Titumir Naval Jetty in Khalishpur. The Tk8 billion warships have been named "Nishan" and "Durgom". Apart from them, two submarine tugboats – "Halda" and "Poshur" – have been built at a cost of Tk142 crore. Sources say the warships conducted initial trial runs in Bhairab and Rupsha rivers. "Durgom" started for the Bay of Bengal for sea trial on Tuesday.
